After much packing, making last minute adjustments to the van, cleaning bikes, and frantically ordering a new camera, yesterday afternoon I eventually turned the van North up the A1 and with a couple of stops to pick up my assistants (bag carriers) for the weekend, headed over the boarder and in to Scotland! A target of the Clachaig Pub in Glencoe we wound our way North through Scotland… The luck wasn’t with Colin, as we pulled in to the Clach car park at 11.07pm… last orders 11pm… But not to be disappointed we split the 2 bottles of fine emergency cider between the three off us, and left Colin to get his head down in his small bivy and one season sleeping bag… as erm… the temperatures dropped…
Waking bright and early we made our way to the Nevis Range to sign in, pick up passes and cook some bacon… Now it’s out on to the course for the Downhill Training, and the 4X Qualifying this evening…
