UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup: This weekend!
Charging batteries, cleaning the van, cleaning cameras, packing the van, writing up order/shoot sheets, last minute prep, manically running round like a headless chicken… yep its World Cup weekend…
For the second year running Dalby Forest and nearby Pickinering play host to the UK leg of the UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup Series. Yes, one of the biggest events in the mountain biking calendar and pretty much on my doorstep!
The weekend takes on the same festival type feel as last year, with the Pro Sprint Eliminator in the centre of Pickering on Friday evening, a truly existing build up to the rest of the weekend, which sees rider training, and the Dalby Dare on Saturday and the main race on Sunday. The main race takes place within the forest on the World Cup Trail; a trail specially designed for the event and open for us to try out through out the year!
After the fun of last years event there was no question of whether I’d be going back. So yes, I will be down in the woods photographing the action as it unfolds… And this year Fridge Productions will be filming me as I work to capture the event through the eyes of a sports action photographer. See you there!

Thanks, it works ok on my iPad, but I will try it on an iPhone and see if I can replicate the problem and get it fixed.
